Milking his day off @ Disneyland!
Dr. J had the day off yesterday! Well, technically it wasn’t a true day off because he was suppose to be sleeping. He had just finished an on call overnight shift and had been up for already 30 hours… but what do you do when you don’t have to be in the hospital for a day and need to use up your So-cal 3 day disney pass?!
My husband’s response: ” who cares about sleep! Take a chill pill Carrie! I have the day off, lets go to DISNEYLAND!!!”
It was a random Tuesday, and for any normal person who has been up for over 24 hours, catching up on some Zs would be the logical option, But nope not for my husband, and probably all the other residents/resident wives reading this. Every day off is such a treat and we always try to milk it as much as we can! I currently have the blessing of having a very flexible schedule, so I have been able to spend pretty much every one of Dr. J’s days off with him.
We arrived at the park right when it opened and my husband insisted that we stay until it closed. He was racing to get as many fast passes as possible and practically sprinted to every section of the park! I got my good 8 hours of sleep the night before and he still looked more awake than I did.
Who knew such excitement could exist from a random Tuesday off? I am sure many of you gals out there with significant others working jobs with demanding and inconsistent schedules can relate 🙂
Blessings and Joy.
